What is Awana?
Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed ) is a national youth program that has as its mission to partner with local churches in creating and disseminating integrated programs, tools and training that equip leaders to evangelize and disciple children and youth for Christ. At Ruckersville Baptist the Awana club provides an interactive and engaging program for children between 2 years old and 6th grade.
The Awana club meetings last 90 minutes. The children are organized into age appropriate groups as they participate in games or other fun activities, small-group Bible learning and large-group Bible teaching, worship, announcements and awards. Children are given oppotunity to earn awards recognizing their achievement and desire to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible.
How do I get Involved?
Members of our church serve in the fulfilling ministry of the Awana program. Trained church volunteers oversee the entire program to spiritually leading each child. You're welcome to join our growing Awana club by visiting on Sunday evenings starting at 5:30 P.M.
